Linda Lighton
Currently I am taking a non-traditional approach to teaching about the works of Georgia O'Keeffe. My fourth graders are working on three dimensional clay sculptures of flowers, inspired by Ms. O'Keeffe. I was browsing around the internet looking at other artists that have rendered flowers in clay. I found this artist, and thought I would share her absolutely breathtaking sculptures.
Linda Lighton describes her work:
"These flowers are about life, growth, birth, maturity, opportunity and hope, chance, the dance of life, and regeneration.I hope these works will not be just a visual experience, but a thoughtful and emotional experience as well. "
